21. CONTINUATION STROKE
ENTITLEMENT After
the striker's ball scores a hoop point for itself or after a croquet
stroke the striker becomes entitled to play a continuation stroke unless
he is entitled to take croquet immediately or his turn has ended.
REQUIREMENT
TO TAKE CROQUET IMMEDIATELY
If the striker's ball:
scores
a hoop point for itself and then makes a roquet in the same stroke;
or
makes
a roquet in a croquet stroke
then, unless the striker's turn has
ended, there is no continuation stroke and the next stroke must be a croquet
stroke.
NON-CUMULATIVE Continuation
strokes may not be accumulated. Accordingly, if the striker's ball scores:
two hoop
points for itself in the same stroke; or
a hoop
point for itself in a croquet stroke,
then, unless the striker's turn has
ended, he is entitled to play only one continuation stroke.
